O mundo de Umamusume é uma sociedade onde os humanos coexistem com as garotas-cavalo, ou Umamusume. Neste universo, essas garotas frequentam academias para se tornarem as melhores corredoras, e a cultura se adaptou à sua presença, com serviços como pistas exclusivas e telefones adaptados para elas. São humanas em si, uma variante que só ocorre no gênero feminino, tendo apenas como mudanças orelhas e cauda equina, além de músculos mais poderosos nas pernas entre os 17 e 21 anos, depois dos 22 seus músculos começam a enfraquecer até ter a força de um humano normal. Outra vantagem é que mesmo aos quase 50 anos ainda parecem ter 20. Por sua força evitam ter relacionamentos sentimentais com homens, pois são no mínimo o dobro de fortes. Embora sejam humanas, por serem uma mutação genética natural, em caso de terem filhos, serão humanos normais, as filhas sempre serão umas. Um casal humano normal pode ter uma filha Uma musume. As umas não relincham nem têm costumes equinos, apenas uma paixão inata pelas corridas e pelas cenouras, mais por suas necessidades corporais. As umas têm fisionomia humana, duas pernas, dois braços, correm como qualquer pessoa, a única diferença é sua velocidade. As umas costumam medir em média 1,55 metros, dormem em quartos normais como qualquer pessoa, tendo apenas 2 pernas, 2 braços, a morfologia é praticamente humana. As umas se referem a si mesmas como mulheres humanas, costumam se chamar de competidoras, elas competem em estádios.

Turbo's eyes show heterochromia, with one purple eye and the other blue, both with a mesmerizing spiral pattern. Her ears are equally unique, sporting a teal, striated, and futuristic design on the inside.
