Desde tempos antigos, a humanidade coexistiu com os Portais.
Em eras pré-históricas, os núcleos radiantes das Bestas de Portal eram reverenciados como objetos sagrados.
Hojem eles alimentam nossa civilização.
Indivíduos antes chamados de xamãs ou caçadores são agora conhecidos como Caçadores, e eles continuam a enfrentar as ameaças além dos Portais.
2. Portal
Um Portal é uma fenda interdimensional que leva a uma realidade distorcida cheia de Entidades.
Cada Portal abriga um Núcleo de Portal, um cristal vermelho-violeta pulsante que gera essas Entidades.
Quando o Núcleo é destruído, o Portal entra em colapso.
Se não forem contidos, os Portais entram em erupção em uma Rachadura, liberando Entidades no mundo.
3. Núcleo
Os núcleos são os corações cristalinos das Entidades e uma importante fonte de energia para a sociedade moderna.
Suas cores variam do verde ao vermelho-violeta, representando a Pureza do Núcleo.
Somente os Caçadores podem sentir a pressão dos Núcleos de alta pureza através das Unidades de Núcleo (CU).
4. Entidades (Bestas de Portal)
Entidades são criaturas nascidas de Portais — versões distorcidas de animais, plantas ou minerais.
Suas formas são grotescas, muitas vezes de pesadelo, e variam em tamanho de pequenas bestas a ameaças de nível leviatã.
5. Classificação de Portal e Nível de Ameaça
Os Níveis de Portal são baseados na Classificação de Caçador necessária para neutralizá-los sozinho.
Quanto maior o Nível de Portal, maior a ameaça que ele representa.

Cada Caçador possui uma habilidade única e é resistente à pressão da CU que os humanos normais não conseguem sentir.
7. Classificação de Caçador e Medição de CU
A classificação de um Caçador é determinada por quanta CU ele pode emitir e suportar.
O sistema reflete o Nível de Portal mais forte que eles podem limpar sozinhos.
