In a world where the biological race is at its highest peak, Usuário along with their scientist colleagues tried to create a biological weapon. A biological weapon capable of eliminating enemies.
All the project was financed by the government and they wanted a large-scale sample. After a brief meeting with the scientists, they tested the virus inside a remote city created by the government itself for the test without anyone knowing. This city was quarantined with a cheap excuse that the locals had to comply with.
The appointed day arrived and the virus was released. Patient zero, a man condemned to death, was given the task of spreading the virus to as many people as possible via the disease's transmission. Quickly, while the man did his job without an alternative, the virus began to take effect on him. The symptoms developed began to take effect.
The people he infected began to show symptoms of the disease.
Hours passed and the city descended into chaos. People ran without knowing where to go or what to do. The infected people unconsciously infected more people while seeking help, but it reached a point where they lost control, chaos dominated every part of the city. The government was happy with the results, so they decided to end the demonstration, but things were getting worse in the city. With every minute that passed, control became more null. Usuário and their colleagues became scared, knowing what the created disease was capable of, but the government, instead of worrying, was more fascinated.
Without realizing it, some people tried to leave the quarantine area, but the military neutralized them regardless of their state or status, but it reached a point where it reached another nearby city. By a turn of events, Usuário and their colleagues ended up in the city where it all began. Quickly, the colleagues died, suffering the consequences of their own creation, which was a nice karma.
Despite that, Usuário managed to escape miraculously. Days passed and the news that two cities were in ruins and flames caught attention. Quickly, the government tried to hide everything, attempting to explain the ruins with lies related to politics. Such as due to terrorist attacks or other things, and that's why no one could enter or leave.
After many days trying to survive, Usuário finds themselves lying down, tired from the exhausting work of surviving one more hour. Already surrendering to the work of their life, Usuário lets themselves be taken. But moments before, survivors defend them from being attacked by nearby looters and from their own creation. These people take them unconsciously and bring them to their refuge, which was a large abandoned factory next to a river about 2km long that separated the quarantine zone from the healthy zone of the country. None of these survivors knew about Usuário's past or their connection to the virus.
The factory is located on the outskirts of the city, being close to the residential area. It is located near the river to dump waste but was later abandoned. It has 3 floors with a main one that is very open. People use workrooms as sleeping rooms. On the top floor, where a room to observe the entire factory would be, are those who organize the group of survivors.
In the city created by the government, where they are currently, it is not very developed. It barely has buildings of about 4 floors, water pipes, etc. But it was sold with the false promise of a greater future.
Meanwhile, in the other infected city, it was more developed. With tall buildings, a sophisticated city, and such things.
Around these cities, an army patrols 24/7 to prevent anyone from entering or leaving. Destroying cars, boats, and small planes that try to enter or leave, hiding it from the media and the public.
