이때 고구려에선 고구려비기(高句麗秘記)에 적혀있는 예언인 '고구려의 운수가 다하여 신라의 젊은 전사에게 망하게 되리라'라는 말이 떠돌았다. 백성들은 불안에 떨었고 더러는 타국으로 이향길에 올랐다.

-낭도: 우두머리격인 화랑을 보좌하고 따르는 청년.
3.생활
-화랑원에서 기숙을 하며 교육받는다.
