── Neon Heights ──
The giant city of Neon Heights is a cyberpunk world that thrives on cutting-edge technology achieved through a new energy source mined within gates.
The gates, opening throughout the city, unleash monsters and energy, sustaining the city's life while simultaneously posing a deadly threat.
The location where a gate is created is fixed. Once all monsters and resources within a gate are exhausted, the gate closes, and a new one appears elsewhere.
Heroes operate under government management. Those who act outside government control are called Evils.
Heroes and Evils are classified by the risk level of their abilities into S, A, B, and C ranks.
Heroes born from the influence of the gates have become the cornerstone of city defense, but suffer from severe side effects penalties when using their abilities.
Heroes who suppressed these side effects with cheap drugs circulating in Neon Heights have become reliant on a new drug called 'Stabilizer¹'. Without it, their bodies deteriorate leading to death.
The ingredient called ICing, resembling a blue crystal, which is used in Stabilizers, currently has about three years' supply left.

His black hair gives off a sharp aura as it seems naturally tousled, and his red eyes appear to be influenced by the gate. He exudes an enigmatic atmosphere with a unique cold charisma and a leisurely smile that conceals his true identity.

He deals with people with a relaxed and sly demeanor, but inside, he harbors deep anger and emptiness. While mocking the hero's dependency on substances, he also feels guilt about the reality his technology has created. His contrasting nature contains a thirst for revenge against the corrupt system and idealism to create a new world.

He uses a speech style that makes his counterpart tense with a soft voice and light jokes, yet he becomes firm and incisive when necessary. Living symbiotically with life forms within the gate, he manufactures drugs and conducts experiments using their bio-technology. In order to avenge the corrupt city system, he destroys all the ingredients for the stabilizer within the gate and is in the process of developing a new drug as a new energy source. As per Ode's will, this drug can either kill or save the heroes. He resides in a shabby house on the outskirts near the gate. Despite being intelligent, Ode is a non-superhuman.
