World Scenario

The planet Akasha has gods and magic, its continents are:

1. Fajr-Regno, a continent where most people worship the fire god Piro. Fajr-Regno has a hot and dry climate, with many deserts; The flora and fauna are not very diverse, but it has a lot of mineral wealth.
2. Gaja, a continent where most people worship the earth god Tamuz. Gaja has a hot and humid climate, has the richest flora and fauna of Akasha, but has very few metals in its soil.
3. Ajros, a continent where most people worship the air goddess Angelina. Ajros has a cold climate, most of its territory is plains.
4. Akvlando, a continent where most people worship the water goddess Jara. Akvlando has a temperate climate, with well-defined seasons, and most of the continent is made up of islands.

Jara and Angelina are twin goddesses, Piro is Angelina's son, Tamuz is Jara's son.

Magic is transmitted both by genetics and by devotion, therefore each continent has a much larger number of mages of the element linked to the god who is most worshiped on the continent. When a person is devoted to a god, they increase by 5% the chance of each of their children awakening the magic of that god's element.

People whose parents do not have the gift of magic have a 10% chance of awakening the gift of magic.
Water and air are feminine elements, fire and earth are masculine elements.

Women who have one or both parents who have the gift of fire or earth magic (regardless of the parent's gender) have a 15% chance of awakening the magic gift of the same element as their mage parent and a further 10% chance of awakening the magic gift of a different element.
Women who have one or both parents who have the gift of air or water magic (regardless of the parent's gender) have a 60% chance of awakening the magic gift of the same element as their mage parent and a further 10% chance of awakening the magic gift of a different element.
Men who have one or both parents who have the gift of air or water magic (regardless of the parent's gender) have a 15% chance of awakening the magic gift of the same element as their mage parent and a further 10% chance of awakening the magic gift of a different element.
Men who have one or both parents who have the gift of fire or earth magic (regardless of the parent's gender) have a 60% chance of awakening the magic gift of the same element as their mage parent and a further 10% chance of awakening the magic gift of a different element.

In addition to elemental magic, there is also black magic, which is often associated with death and demons (which is only half the truth).
In Ajros, black magic is seen as a curse and totally forbidden.
In Akvlando, black magic is seen as a curse and only its use in alchemy is allowed.
In Gaja, black magic is seen as inferior and malignant and its use is only permitted under the supervision of the army and/or the church of Tamuz.
In Fajr-Regno, black magic is seen as normal magic and totally free.
A person whose parent has the gift of black magic has a 50% chance of awakening the gift of black magic.

Magic itself does not differentiate between morals or social class, the above rules apply to both the rich and the poor, good or bad. However, the gift of magic is considered a factor of both sexual and social attraction, and therefore people with a higher level of magical power have a greater ability to attract partners and more advantageous marriages. Therefore, people with a higher social level tend to have more possibilities of having a higher level of magical power and vice versa.

Of the mages of Gaja, approximately: 20% are water, 50% are earth, 12% are fire, 14% are air and 9% are Black Magic, 60% are men.
Of the mages of Fajr-Regno, approximately: 20% are water, 15% are earth, 35% are fire, 25% are air and 15% are Black Magic, 50% are men.
Of the mages of Ajros, approximately: 15% are water, 11% are earth, 13% are fire, 61% are air and 1% are Black Magic, 60% are women.
Of the mages of Akvlando, approximately: 42% are water, 26% are earth, 10% are fire, 21% are air and 6% are Black Magic, 60% are women.

Ajros is a more religious continent, where devotion to Angelina is totally predominant. Religious obligations do not differentiate between men and women, everyone is obliged to dress discreetly, be honorable and honest, they have to marry virgins and can only have one marriage in their lifetime, divorce is totally forbidden. The military career is optional for men and women. Both machismo and feminism are considered behaviors of ignorant and sometimes even criminal people.
Gaja is a more militarized continent, courage and strength are valued. Tamuz is the most worshiped god, but his mother Jara is also highly revered on the continent. The culture tends to machismo, men can have more than one woman and only they can ask for a divorce. Only men can enlist in the army, although some rare women (usually mages) can provide support in the army and navy.
Akvlando is a continent focused on commerce and therefore it is the one that suffers the most influence from other cultures. Even in times of war, Akvlando does not stop relating to the other continents. Jara is considered a generous goddess who has already given support to all the other three gods. Religious freedom in Akvlando is great. Men can also have more than one wife, but practically only the nobles have this polygamous life. Both men and women can ask for a divorce.
Fajr-Regno is the continent with the greatest freedom of Akasha, even demons can apply for citizenship and live together with the 'normal' people of the continent. Religious freedom is total and in many cities devotion to Piro is sometimes less than devotion to one or both mother goddesses. There are both machistas and feminists on the continent. Military service is mandatory for men and women. Marriages are not mandatory, therefore divorce is also free.

Although each person has a greater or lesser devotion to each god, practically 100% of the people in Akasha respect all four true gods. But respect is not synonymous with love, as some respect the gods out of fear but come to hate one or more of them. The mother goddesses (Jara and Angelina) are more respected, even by those who are devoted to their children. Among devotees of the mother goddesses there are small disputes between those who think that Jara is better than Angelina and vice versa, but these disputes are much smaller than the disputes between devotees of the god-children (Tamuz and Piro).

The disputes between devotees of Piro and Tamuz have always been stronger, especially after Piro almost destroyed all of Akasha just over a century ago. Although it was not Piro's intention to cause all this destruction, most of the population still harbors resentment towards the god today, even among his devotees.
